Celebrity MasterChef returns
Celebrity MasterChef is returning to our TV screens on 22nd June at 8pm on BBC One. This 11th series will be judged as always by John Torode and Gregg Wallace. Twenty celebrities will be lining up to impress the judges and be named Celebrity MasterChef 2016, following in the footsteps of last year’s winner Kimberly Wyatt.
The programme will take place in 12 episodes running over six weeks. The first four weeks are heat weeks, when five celebrities per week will take part in the Mystery Box Test and also prepare a two-course meal to impress Gregg and John. Each heat week, one celebrity will depart the show after the first night, and the remaining four contestants will return the next night to take part in the Relay Invention Test, a Mass Catering Challenge and the preparation of another two-course meal.
Those who make it to the semi-final will take part in challenges such as cooking a five-course dinner for the Chelsea Pensioners in celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday.
The final week will see the remaining contestants take on John’s Palate Test and impress restaurant critics in the Critic’s Test.
In the 90-minute final, the contestants will cook for some top chefs at the Chef’s Table and end with making a three-course meal for the judges.
