Welcome to the Eyston Arms – ‘Superior pub food in a truly lovely village’, (Good Food Guide, we hope you’ll agree!)The 'Eystons' sits in the middle of the oldest part of the historic village of East Hendred, Oxfordshire, at the foot of the Ridgeway, just off the A417 between Wantage and Rowstock. The Eystons is just a few moments from the A34 and near to Milton Business Park and Didcot making it the ideal venue and meeting place for a working lunch or romantic rendevous. The Harwell Science Park, Innovation Campus and the world famous Diamond Light Project are only two miles away.?
In 2003 George and Cargie Dailey completed the total refurbishment of the Eyston Arms. Customers are greeted with a huge log fire, a rustic Cotswold flagstone floor, a series of cartoons of regular customers, simple polished tables and comfortable leather upholstered chairs.
Daisy Barton, the Dailey's business Partner has long been the face of the Eyston Arms and her vivacious personality drives the success of the pub. In recent years it has received several awards and accolades and the partners pride themselves on the number of clients and friends who eat regularly at the Pub.
If Daisy Barton is the face of the Eyston Arms then Maria Jaremchuk in the kitchen is the very attractive engine!! This largely self taught Chef, is very well respected within the industry and customers at the Arms know and love the constantly changing menu, which features local produce and game. But it is with Fish that perhaps Maria is best known. Her contacts with small inshore fisherman, some of whom she has been down to meet personally, ensure that there are always first class Fish Specials available. Our Sunday Roasts are always popular and are prepared using fresh local ingredients.
There is a private dining room which can seat up to 12 people for meetings, family arguments/parties, shoot lunches or get-togethers with exceptionally rowdy friends!
Free WiFi is available throughout the pub for customers.
