Located adjacent to the Thames, The River Cafe was opened in 1987 by Rose Gray and Ruth Rogers.
The main dining room, designed by Richard Rogers, is lined with with full height windows and doors opening onto the terrace and garden, where dining extends during fair weather. There is also a bar and an 18-seat private dining room with audio-visual facilities and cheese store.
The menu, which changes twice daily, offers rustic Italian dishes based on the best seasonal ingredients available, complemented by an entirely Italian wine list of almost 200 bins.
