I was for twelve years, Head Chef of Michel Roux’s Waterside Inn, Bray. Our food here displays a modern take on British and French classics with a certain complexity in the cooking.
The Masons Arms was awarded a Michelin Star in 2006 which we still hold and we have been recognised by all of the major guides and local tourism awards. We arrived in Devon on the 21st of June 2005 with an idea and a blackboard as a menu, we spent a surreal 10 days helped by friends and a soft opening, getting to know the Inn and the village, Since then we have gone from strength to strength receiving many awards and accolades including Michelin Pub of the Year 2010

We aim to serve good honest food, locally sourced wherever possible and with equal care taken in every step from first preparation to final presentation. Sarah runs our front of house and like every traditional local you will soon feel relaxed and at home with our friendly staff.
Weather permitting, you can also eat and drink outside with the wonderful countryside of Exmoor as a backdrop.
