Founded in 1993 by Antonio Santelia, Rossini Restaurant named after the great Italian composer Gioachino Rossini (1792-1868) has been importing flavours from the Amalfi Coast, Italy for more than two decades. We first opened our doors in Denmark Street on 13th September 1993 and were the first family run Italian Restaurant in Wokingham and we stand that way to this day. Offering traditional Italian dishes, wines and cocktails.

Like in Italy where food is cooked with love and a desire to please, we use simple ingredients, traditional recipes and passion. We realise that some of the best cooking is homemade and unlike some of the bigger 'chains' we feel that the smaller businesses and suppliers offer the best produce, for this reason we buy all of our fruit and vegetables from local sources and markets, our beef is always 100% British beef, we make our own pate', marinate our fish and make all of our own sauces.

We maintain a good close relationship with our local community and we take great pride in taking part within the towns society whenever and wherever possible. We do however have specialists who import products from various regions of Italy for us - our Buffalo Mozzarella and Ricotta Cheese come from the Campania region of Italy, the Limoncello, Meloncello and Fragolino come from our home town Maiori on the Amalfi Coast and we have an extensive list of classical and new world wines from various regions of Italy, including our personal favourite 'Tramonti' which is produced in the mountains of the Amalfi Coast, all of which will fantastically compliment your meal.

The Amalfi Coast where Antonio (owner) grew up is one of the most enchanting coastlines in Europe. Known for its spectacular landscape and historic heritage and located in the Gulf of Salerno on the Sorrentine Peninsula. It consists of a 25 mile road that runs along the cliff edge from Vietri sul Mare through to Positano, made up of 13 small municipalities such as Maiori, Amalfi, Praiano, Positano and Ravello.

We deliver genuine Amalfi Coast flavours, aromas and food and you will experience a genuine Italian Chefs cuisine here at Rossini Restaurant.
